Linda Bareham is a British photojournalist and writer based in London. Her photographs, taken over three decades, have been published widely including the New York Times, National Geographic and BBC News Magazine. In 2009 her work was exhibited at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Manchester under the title "Hands." She has undertaken several photographic commissions for projects on domestic abuse and on modern American slavery. In 2012 she was commissioned by the United Nations to undertake a photographic project on the issue of rape in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2014 Bareham was awarded a grant from the Pulitzer Center to travel to northern Ghana and investigate commercial rape as a weapon of war. Linda Bareham is a regular contributor to BBC News, regularly providing images for its coverage on TV and online at bbc.com/news. In 2015/2016 she contributed regularly to "The Guardian" newspaper's online photography blog The Pin-Up entitled 'A Life at Full Swing'. She is also a contributing photographer to "International Crisis Group" monthly reports. Author of the book "Photography: A Life in Pictures" (2018).
